Cannabidiol or CBD is a molecule found in the cannabis sativa plant.
CBD is one of many cannabinoids produced by the cannabis family. CBD is non-psychoactive. It does not cause the "high" associated with marijuana. CBD and THC are the most well-known cannabinoids but there are many different types. You can read more about CBD here.
CBD can be taken into the body in a variety of ways. CBD can be inhaled by smoking a flower, isolate, or vape, it can be ingested orally, or it can be applied through the skin by an ointment, lotion, or bath bomb.
There are currently 150+ trials in progress that are testing CBD as a treatment on a wide variety of health conditions. CBD has begun to show many health benefits but you should ALWAYS consult with your physician before ingesting CBD or any other substance that is not prescribed by your health physician.
